Although a large number of Rules and Regulations apply to the functionary of this Department, the major ones are:

1. Manual of office procedures

2. General Financial Rules (GFR)

3. DFPR

6. A statement of categories of documents that are held by the Department or under its control:  As per Manual of Office Procedure.

The particulars of any arrangement that exists for consultation with or representation by the members of the public in relation to the formulation of its policy or implementation thereof:

Feedback on policy formulation and implementation is received through the institutionalized mechanism of a Parliamentary Standing Committee and a Parliamentary Consultative Committee, besides direct feedback from various public representatives. Various industrial associations like CII, FICCI, PHDCCI, ARAI also provide valuable inputs from time to time.

There are no subsidy programmes being implemented by this Department.

15. The Particulars of facilities available to citizens for obtaining information including the working hours of a library or reading room, if
maintained for public use:

No Library is being maintained. Citizens may approach Public Information Officers for seeking information. However, the Department has a website http://dhi.nic.in to provide information to citizens. This website is open 24 hours a day. A special RTI counter has been set up at Gate No. - 7, Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi ( Working hours: 9.00 A.M to 5.30 P.M)
